Lee's Press FAQs
Vanity publishers rarely offer valuable distribution services including poor-quality production. While we are a self-publishing services company, we work with new and established authors on their books from START to FINISH. Authors have full creative control over their book projects and we go far beyond the borders of the page for our clients.
After 90 days of your book release, you’ll receive your payment for book sales via Zelle or direct deposit (quarterly) every 3 months.
If you already have a manuscript ready to go, we can get you finished and published within 2-3 months. If you need assistance with writing your book, we offer ghostwriging services and publish within 5-10 months or less.

You can sell books via person to person, book signings, trade shows, online sales, family, friends, social media and many other platforms. The most important thing is staying consistent, building a brand and getting your message out there.
Getting books into the book store can be tedious, book retailers mostly communicate with the publisher to determine getting your book inside their store. We support you by going on your behalf and communicating to the brick and mortar retail locations on why your book is a great fit to take space on their shelves.
Yes, we help with promoting your book on our social media platforms, keeping you in the spotlight to our readers and followers so they can purchase your book.
You will need to email us your typed manuscript in a digital format. We prefer Microsoft Word files in doc or .docx format. We do not accept PDFs.
If your manuscript was typed on a typewriter or handwritten, you will definitely want to get your manuscript typed into word processor on your laptop or desktop computer.
We do not accept physical manuscript submissions sent by mail.
Unlike most publishers, we provide authors with publishing services. Although there are service fees, we make it affordable and implement everything on your behalf as the author.
We do not currently offer advances at this time.
We pay our authors 75% net-profit royalties. That means 75% of all earned from the author’s book sales is paid directly to the author on a quarterly basis.
For example: If you earn $10,000 net profit in royalties from your book, you will receive $7,500 of that amount and Lee’s Press will receive $2,500.
Lee’s Press is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, but our team works remotely from various locations across the globe.
Yes, you will own 100% rights of your book when you publish with Lee’s Press when we process and submit your copyright. We believe that a professionally edited book goes a long way. We have editors that provide developmental editing, copyediting, line editing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and proofreading services to our authors.

Yes. If you’ve previously self-published or went through another publisher, you can join to Lee’s Press, assuming you still own the rights to your work. However, we would need to confirm that you don’t have an exclusive contract with the previous publisher.
If you self-published your book, you work with us right away. We’ve had several authors switch from self-publishing to Lee’s Press, and we can make the process quick, easy, and painless for you.
If you’ve published your book with another publisher, you’ll need to look at your publishing contract to see if you still own the rights to your work. If you have questions about whether or not a previous publisher controls the rights to your work, you should reread your publishing contract in detail, contact your publisher, and/or contact an attorney.
Our editors can speak with you whenever via a scheduled call.
Our average timeframe for editing usally takes 2-4 weeks after submitted. Unlike other publishers, we strive to deliver as much value as possible to every author who submits their manuscript.
We do not currently accept unsolicited phone calls. If you’re interested in publishing a book with us, you can schedule a call with us.
